Konecranes streamlines its UK businesses and cuts more jobs
The merger will result in the closure of crane manufacturing activities in the Loughborough site affecting 90 employees. All future crane manufacturing will be carried out at the East Kilbride, Scotland facility. Merging the businesses will additionally lead to approximately 25 permanent employees losing their jobs.
Konecranes UK Limited will be the largest operation of its kind in the UK and will employ 450 personnel.
