Repeat order for Konecranes from DP World Djazair, Algeria

Djazair Port World, a joint venture between DP World and the state of Algeria has a current annual capacity of 500 000 teu with plans to increase this to 800 000 teu. The new RSTs will operate in the container terminal and will replace older rented units.

According to the company the Konecranes’ laden container reachstacker is one of the highest performing reachstackers in the market. It features many innovative solutions including the “box type” chassis, load-sensing hydraulics (power-on-demand), electronic overload, safety and monitoring system. It has a lifting capacity of 45 tonnes and can stack five containers high and three deep.
