Six Kalmar E-One2 RTGs for Namport,Namibia

The 7+1 wide and 1-over-5 high RTGs will be equipped with an autosteering and container verification system, Kalmar Smartrail® and remote diagnostics. Kalmar E-One² is the newest RTG model and meets the latest safety and environmental demands.

With a Variable Speed Generator (VSG) the engine runs at a lower RPM level when idling. Furthermore, the system automatically optimises engine speed according to the power required, resulting in lower fuel consumption.

Smartrail® steers the RTG along virtual tracks, relieving the driver of the need to steer and allowing him to travel at maximum speed between lifts and to concentrate fully on picking up and setting down containers.
