RTG wheels typically feature stationary turning, which demands high power from actuators. The tread pattern of the RTG 18.00-25, with its rounded tread blocks and ribs, allows the wheels to turn more easily than before.
The cross-ply tyre features low heat build-up, which significantly slows down the wearing process and reduces the risk of tyre damage. This feature can also be utilised in reachstackers, where the speed of the machine and the heat build-up of the tyres are typically higher. In addition, the tyre has low rolling resistance, which reduces fuel consumption.
The new tyre comes in two sizes: the 18.00-25 40 PR TL, which has a load-bearing capacity of 17,500 kg at 25 kph and 1,000 kPa; and the 14.00-24 28 PR TL, with a load-bearing capacity of 9 500 kg at the same speed and pressure.
