Tailor-made containers for steel coils

The multipurpose ‘Hard Open Top Bulk Cradle Containers’ can be used for steel or bulks, allowing them to transport raw material on a return leg rather than returning empty.

When handling coils the container roof is removed for easy loading and unloading, whilst when used for bulks loading is through small bulk hatches in the roof. Unloading is possible through a ‘letter box’ hatch in the back wall.

“These containers significantly reduce the time taken loading coils and totally remove the need for disposable lashing material”, explained commercial manager Laura Langh-Lagerlöf, who invented the securing system for the coils.
