A terminal that is definitely on the right track
The Port of Gothenburg and the terminal have worked together to formulate routines for bonded storage. The terminal today has five tracks with a total track length of 4 km and during the summer it was declared an area of national interest by the Swedish Transport Administration.
The terminal has a direct road link between Vaggeryd and Skillingaryd on the E4 highway. The nearest neighbour is the new Nordic region warehouse facility for the electrical retailing company Expert, who will move in during summer 2011.
Tomas Arvidsson, one of the initiators behind the terminal and the rail shuttle, is extreme happy with the way things have developed and the excellent collaboration with the Port of Gothenburg and the Skandia Container Terminal.
