33,333,333 containers in 40 Years for EUROGATE Hamburg

Proudly described as an impressive record by Thomas Eckelmann, chairman of the EUROGATE Group Management Board, the company – which handled its first container in 1970 – is already looking beyond 33,333,333 teu to the 44,444,444 teu mark.

UASC has been a customer at EUROGATE Container Terminal Hamburg for 11 years. The first UASC ship, the Al Sabahia, docked at the terminal in April 1999. Since then, EUROGATE has handled 1.5m teu for the shipping line.
