The delivery of goods from South Korea to the central regions of Russia has traditionally involved the use of sea transport and long distance trucking to consignees in Russia, resulting in significant costs in time and money.
The new TransContainer Asia Pacific system permits containers to be shipped from South Korea’s ports to those in Russia’s Far East and onward by rail to central Russia and Eastern Europe. Delivery time has been reduced by up to 25 days compared to the traditional shipping route, resulting in significant cost savings for cargo owners.
