This will include up to US$8.35m with Zebra Enterprise Solutions to implement the Navis SPARCS N4 TOS to manage cargo flows across its marine terminals, along with a further US$8.95m on hardware, licences and other related projects.
The first contract, for the software and gate systems that will standardise procedures at its terminals, will allow development of a single centralised processing centre for all gate moves to substantially reduce processing times, reduce errors and increase gate productivity.
By choosing the Navis system to replace in-house systems, the SCSPA will become the first port operator in North America to manage a SPARCS N4 TOS from a central location across multiple sites. The goal is to offer a single point-of-entry to customers across all terminals.
