Double first for Liebherr Cranes
The STS cranes have a waterside outreach of 60 m, a span of 30 m, a landside backreach of 16 m and height under spreader of 41 m. Safe working load is 65 tonnes under twinlift spreader and 75 tonnes under hookbeam. Crane drives are DC with Liebherr Digivert speed control.
The 16 wheel RTGs span six containers plus a truck lane and stack one over five containers high. Safe working load is 65 tonnes under twinlift spreader.
At Jeddah North Container Terminal these new container cranes work alongside the previous supplied Liebherr Super post-Panamax cranes and RTGs. A total of eight Liebherr STS container cranes and twenty Liebherr RTGs now operate at the terminal.
