As the largest terminal operator in the Port of Rauma, Finland, the company is expected to handle 4.9m tonnes of cargo this year, including around 165,000 teu. The Rauma container facility is owned by international port operator Euroports Holdings S.à.r.l.
The Autostore system will include the Container Terminal Management System (CTMS), plus a Vessel Planning, EDI and Value Added Services modules for container maintenance.
“It’s an economic fact that port operators have to sweat their assets harder than ever to compete in a global, post-recession market. Autostore is the critical IT component of our strategy to deliver a new level of agility, flexibility and control within our business that leverages our position as a top tier Baltic cargo port,” said Janne Virta, production manager at Oy Rauma Stevedoring.
