DSPL and Marmedsa are J.P. Morgan’s Infrastructure Investments Group’s first investments in the port and maritime services sector.
Following the acquisition, the new shareholders implemented immediate changes to the corporate structure of DSPL and Marmedsa. DSPL is now wholly owned by Turia Port Investments (TPI). TPI is majority owned by the J.P. Morgan Investors, with ABP holding a significant minority interest. Marmedsa is now a 100% subsidiary of Turia Port Management Investments (TPMI), which is wholly owned by the J.P. Morgan Investors.
DSPL’s formerly owned businesses in Chile, Brazil, the Dominican Republic, India and China as well as Sintax and Rebarsa were not included in the transaction.
