Oakland and China Merchants form a strategic partnership
China is the Oakland port’s number one trade partner, accounting for more than US$10.1bn worth of imports and exports in 2009.
CMHI operates an extensive network of ports, terminals and facilities in China’s Bohai, Yangtze River Delta, Xiamen Bay Economic Zone, Pearl River Delta, and Southwest regions. Recently, CMHI formed a joint venture, China Merchants Americold Logistics Co., Ltd. (CMAC) in partnership with US based Americold, one of the largest cold chain providers in North America.
