Belfast-based Todd and the United Kingdom Hydrographic Office’s (UKHO) are working together on the release of the Fleet Manager module of the Admiralty e-Navigator product.

Todd and UKHO co-operate on e-Navigator development

Admiralty e-Navigator allows Todd to view and order all the digital products onboard the vessels to which it supplies Admiralty Digital Products (ADP), Admiralty Vector Chart Service (AVCS) and ARCS.

The UKHO is working collaboratively with a number of approved Distributors, including Todd, and major shipping companies to roll-out this innovative software in shore-based and seaborne environments before general release early in 2011. Todd is the first to be involved in this phase.

The Admiralty e-Navigator computer-based navigation system, designed and developed by the UKHO, enables mariners to view, select and order all the charts and publications needed to plan effective voyages. Mariners ultimately save time and money as the system calculates the most cost effective way to get from port to port.

Captain William Todd from Todd said, “Admiralty e-Navigator is set to make life easier and simpler for our marine customers – both at sea and ashore in the office. It also aims to assist ship-owners in getting their fleets ready for implementation of the ECDIS Mandate beginning in 2012”.
