The equipment will by used to supplement Parsec’s expanding rail operations; the company estimates that each year it handles approximately 45% of all trailers and containers travelling by rail in the region.
The latest order was placed in Q4-2010 and delivery of the units is scheduled to begin in Q1-2011.
“As container volumes in Canada, Mexico and the US rise, we are gearing up to meet the demand at all major transportation interchanges,” explained David Budig, vice-president of Parsec.
