Monrovia is the capital and largest city in Liberia, a nation of 3.8 people on the West African coast. The Freeport of Monrovia is the main gateway for goods entering and exiting Liberia and is fundamental to the Liberian economy. The port is a multi-purpose port handling containers, Ro-Ro and commodities including frozen fish, bagged cement and rice. Major port customers include the UN military and UN World Food Programme.
