In Egypt, LIEBHERR will deliver its first order of five RTGs to DP World, Sokhna during the first quarter of 2011. The 16 wheel RTGs stack one over five containers high and span six containers plus a truck lane. Safe Working Load (SWL) is 40.6 tonnes under telescopic spreader, hoist speed is 28–56 m/min, trolley speed is 70 m/min and crane travel speed is 70-135 m/min.
In the Philippines, LIEBHERR will deliver two post-Panamax ship-to-shore 9STS) gantry cranes to DP World Asian Terminals Inc. in the Port of Manila during the second quarter of 2011. Each crane has a span of 18.5 m with a waterside outreach of 44.5 m. Lift height is 31 m and landside backreach is 12 m. SWL is 60 tonnes under the twinlift spreader and 65 tonnes under the hookbeam. Hoist speed is 60-150 m/min, trolley speed is 180 m/min and crane travel speed is 50 m/min.
In the UK, LIEBHERR returns to the Port of Southampton with the delivery two additional Megamax ship-to-shore gantry cranes to DP World Southampton during the first and second quarter of 2011. Each crane has a span of 35 m with a waterside outreach of 60.5 m. Lift height is 45 m and landside backreach is 16 m. SWL is 65 tonnes under the twinlift spreader and 80 tonnes under hookbeam. Hoist speed is 75-180 m/min, trolley speed is 240 m/min and crane travel speed is 45 m/min. The addition of these two gantries brings the number of LIEBHERR cranes operating at the terminal to six units.
