The wagons consist of a lot of 96 Lgs-type two-axle wagons, with a maximum capacity for one 40′ container. Most of these wagons are currently located in Hungary, with a few in Italy and Austria.
The other lot comprises 102′ short-coupled four bogie low-loader specially designed for the broad gauge Iberian network. With a loading height of only 825mm above the surface of the rail, these Sggmrrss wagons are ideal for the carriage of larger intermodal units. The wagons are located in Spain.
Troostwijk is targeting railway operators, transport enterprises and shippers, as well as specialist investors as potential buyers, with Paul Weyers, the auction manager saying, “With current heavy demand for intermodal rolling stock, this is a good opportunity for short-term acquisition of additional stock”.
