InlandLinks is the quality mark for container terminals in the hinterland of Europe and is based on identified and comparable criteria. This means that all participants in the supply chain are better able to achieve advantages, in both qualitative and quantitative terms. It will also help to expand the container flow via intermodal transport and by inland shipping which is set to triple in the next 25 years.
Ninety percent of the Dutch hinterland terminals affiliated to VITO are already taking part and in a later phase, the RPA wants to extend the concept to Germany and the Rhine terminals in particular.
