Two of the STS cranes are destined for Terminal de Contêineres de Paranagua (TCP) in the Port of Paranagua – the first Liebherr ship-to-shore cranes to be supplied to Brazil. They will be delivered by the first quarter of 2012.
With a waterside outreach of 52.50 metres and landside backreach of 15 m, the cranes will have a span of 18 m and a total lift height under spreader of 38 m. The safe working load (SWL) will be 65 tonnes under twin-lift spreader and 75 tonnes under hookbeam.
Fitted with Liebherr AC crane drives, the machines will have a hoist speed of between 70-175 m/min and a trolley speed of 210 m/min. The crane travel speed will be 45 m/min.
