Commissioning of the first PSA Sines crane will be in October 2011, with the second following in January 2012. This latest crane will be will be commissioned in December next. The IMT crane will be operational by end of June 2012.
All three twin-lift 65-tonne cranes at PSA Sines have identical specifications, with a 64 metre outreach, 18 m backreach and a height under spreader of 44 m. The hoisting speed will be 90 – 180 m/min, with a trolley travel speed of 150 m/min. The gantry travel speed will by 46 m/min, with a boom hoist of five minutes. The AC control systems are being supplied by Siemens.
In Antwerp, the 45-tonne crane will have an outreach of 39 m, with a backreach of 18 m and height under spreader of 32 m. The hoisting speed will between 70 – 150 m/min, with a trolley speed of 150 m/min. With a gantry speed of 45 m/min, the crane will also have a boom hoist of five minutes and AC control systems supplied by Siemens.
