Siecop is to receive high quality grain oriented electrical steel coils for transformer cores, with ‘mother’ coils delivered to the neighbouring container terminal by inland waterway vessels. These coils will then be further processed in the steel service centre and distributed across Europe by rail, road and ship. There are plans to expand the initial 5,500m² hall as the company grows.

Construction of the site is schedule to start during this quarter with operations beginning in Ruhrort as early as mid-2012.
