Liebherr returns to Poland and Morocco
The Polish STS cranes span 30 metres and have a waterside outreach of 53m, with a landside backreach of 15 m. Their total lift height is 36 m. The safe working load (SWL) is 60-tonnes under twin-lift spreader and 70-tonnes under hookbeam. The machines have a hoist speed of 56-140 m/min and trolley speed of 180 m/min. Crane travel speed is 46 m/min.
Having a SWL of 40.6 tonnes under telescopic spreader, the 16-wheel configured RTGs will stack one-over-four containers high and span seven containers plus a truck lane. Their hoist speed is 28/56m/min; trolley speed is 70m/min with a crane travel speed of 70/130m/min.
Currently being installed on site at DCT Gdansk, these machines increase the number of Liebherr STS and RTG cranes operating at the terminal to five and 11 units respectively.
