A new partner for Gioia Tauro’s Medcenter Container Terminal
Described as having a “unique” relationship with Mediterranean Shipping Company (MSC), TIL is a major global terminal operator with interests in 16 countries across five continents , handling around 15m containers annually.
Following the transaction, MCT, the terminal operator of the Port of Gioia Tauro, will be owned one third by each of the three partners: Contship Italia, APM Terminals and TlL.
The new Board of Directors will be formed by six members: the chairman and managing director will be appointed by Contship Italia and two Board Members each will be appointed by TIL and APM Terminals.
