Ro-ro volumes were also up by 14% to 4.24m tonnes; the number of cars handled rose 14.7% to 1.05m units.
Conventional/break-bulk freight also experienced growth, with 12.7m tonnes handled, 14.1% more than the previous year. The Port Authority said these figures showed that the difficult situation in which this segment found itself has partially improved, although a great deal of work remains to be done.
