Start of new Klaipėda-Moscow rail link

Containers will be loaded at the KlaipÄ—da Container Terminal, as well as the KlaipÄ—dos SmeltÄ— terminal and the KLASCO Ro–Ro terminal at KlaipÄ—da. In Russia the train will be handled in Moscow at the Ecodor container terminal, as well as in the Silikatnaja rail station.

The decision by AAA Intermodal to use the Ecodor terminal for the “door-to-door” container freight service, via Siliktanaja, was based on the facility’s close proximity to potential clients and interest expressed by shipping lines.

In addition, the partnership with the Ecodor terminal and the Russkaja Troika company, provides the potential to link the service with the industrial regions of Russia and Siberia, namely Novosibirsk and the Far Eastern ports of Vladivostok and Nachodka. It is anticipated that this link will be of interest to European companies seeking services travelling deeper into Russia.
