According to Claudio Camargo Penteado, MAFI do Brazil’s CEO, the MT25/30 tractor was designed to withstand this type of operation where starting and braking is performed hundreds of times per day. “The mechanical development and the robust structure ensure precise operation and longer equipment life, as well as greater efficiency and economy in the operations,” he said.
“MultiRio’s latest acquisition, more than a year after the first is proof that the operating results are very good,” Penteado added.
The new terminal tractors are equipped with the MAFI Eco Mode (MEM) – an intelligent economic drive programme that detects if the operation is with or without a load. MEM shifts gears automatically up at lower engine revolution if there is reduced load detected. This results in fuel savings up to 20%, reduced operating costs, emissions and noise levels.
