More shortsea shipping for Dunkirk

The Spanish region of Galicia may also be served via the port of Leixoes. Transit times from Dunkirk to Portugal will be four days to Lisbon and six days to Leixoes.

MacAndrews has a fleet of 20’ and 40’ high cube and pallet-wide containers, as well as 45’ high cube, pallet-wide, dry and reefer containers. In Dunkirk the shipping company will be represented by the CMA CGM agency.

Christine Cabau Woehrel, recently appointed as Chair of Dunkerque-Port’s Executive Committee, said, “This decision is in line with the development strategy of the Port of Dunkirk with regard to the diversification of our short-sea shipping lines as a complement to the major east-west and north-south routes.”
