“This is a Red Letter time for us as the question of dredging has in the past been a problem at the Port of Santos and we are grateful that the president of Codesp and his team is supporting our dredging needs and we believe we will continue to receive Codesp’s support for the remainder of the dredging programme,” said Henry Robinson, BTP’s director general
For more than four years, Brasil Terminal Portuário (BTP) has been decontaminating (remediating) land on its site on which it is constructing a multi-use terminal for handling containers and liquid bulks and which for 50 years had been used a waste dumping area for materials connected with port activities including packaging, tyres, chemicals and domestic waste disposed of by local inhabitants.
