The company points out that machine efficiency and performance depend to a great extent on the choice of tyre, its suitability for the terrain, its wear performance as well as its resistance to heat and damage. It is essential that tyre technology adapts to meet the latest developments in equipment, as well as changes in operating practices and professional requirements in terms of productivity. Manufacturers are producing more powerful machines, with increased torque which improves productivity and in response, Goodyear is introducing new sizes that have been developed to match their power, speed and torque.
Hi-Stability tyres improve load capacity by up to 25% as well as stability. They also improve productivity due to their economical operational cost per hour. The innovative construction of Hi-Stability tyres allows higher inflation pressures, which increase the load capacity of the machines to which they are fitted – as it is the air that carries the load. For example, an operator using a loader fitted with 29.5R25 tyres inflated to 5 bar can carry a load of 9 tonnes. Using Hi-Stability tyres with a pressure of 6.5 bar, the load increases by 25% to 12 tonnes. This means that 36 tonnes can be loaded in three operations instead of four. A substantial gain in productivity!
