Liebherr to boost handling capacity in New Zealand and Belgium
Crane specifications include SWL of 60 tonnes under spreader, 48 m outreach, lift height over rail 32 m, hoist speed 70-175m/min, trolley speed 220m/min and crane travel speed 45m/min.
The crane drives are Liebherr D.C and delivery is scheduled during 2013 and 2014.
Liebherr already has five STS cranes in operation at the Port of Tauranga, the first of which was supplied in 1979 “and it is still an integral part of the port’s operations today,” said Liebherr’s marketing manager Gerry Bunyan.
