In addition, AGCT has earmarked a further HRK133m for terminal development in 2012 and another HRK88m in 2013 as the terminal foresees increased activity starting this year. AGCT took over operation of the Brajdica Container Terminal, later renaming it to AGCT in April 2011.
Infrastructure improvements have included repairs to the container yard and roads, reconstruction of the rail yard and cleaning the seabed at the southern pier. Utilities improvements have included the installation of an autonomous fuel and power supply system. AGCT is now preparing to further upgrade facilities with the planned reconstruction of the existing yard, construction of new gates and the installation of European Union border inspection posts.
AGCT has a total terminal area of 13.9 ha and is planning to expand this to 16.8 ha by 2013. Moreover, the 518 m berth alongside depth which was deepened from 10.7 m to 11.6 m last year, will be further enhanced when a new 320 m berth with an alongside depth of 14.5 m is completed by June next year.
