RWG starts construction of its Massvlakte 2 container terminal
Terminal capacity in the first phase will be 2.35m teu and it will open in the second half of 2014. Total investments amount to some € 700m (US$877m).
The terminal will be equipped with a total of 14 ZPMC quay cranes and 59 Gottwald AGVs will transport the containers from the quayside to the stack which in turn will be equipped with 32 Gottwald conventional automatic stacking cranes and 16 automatic cantilever cranes.
