Halifax welcomes Zim and will manage Sheet Harbour Terminal

Six 4,250 teu vessels are deployed in the service, rotating through: Haifa (Israel), Piraeus (Greece), Genoa (Italy), Tarragona (Spain), Halifax, New York, Savannah, Kingston (Jamaica), Tarragona and back to Haifa. Advertised transit times to Halifax are seven days from Tarragona, eight days from Genoa, and 14 days from Haifa.

Halterm also handles Zim’s weekly Container Pacific (ZCP) service, covering the Asia/US West Coast/US West Coast/Canada trade.

Also in Halifax, the port authority (HPA) has contracted with Nova Scotia Business Inc., (NSBI) to assume management responsibility for the Sheet Harbour Marine Terminal.
