The cranes will feature the new ‘Smarter Cabin’, offering improved ergonomics and visibility. They will also be equipped with the latest DGPS-assisted technology for container yards, including a container positioning system connected to the port’s terminal operating system (TOS) to ensure correct, real-time container positioning and accurate inventory.
An auto-steering feature will keep the cranes on a pre-programmed, straight driving path, thus improving safety and increasing productivity.
The 16-wheel RTGs will have a lifting capacity of 40-tonnes, stacking 1-over-6 containers high and 7 plus truck lane wide. They will also be fitted with remote access diagnostics technology.
