ITC Vietnam goes green with Kalmar

Established in 2001, ITC has embarked on an investment plan of over US$180m, which includes the construction of the new Phu Huu Ward port. Construction commenced in 2010 and comprises an area of 41 ha, with a 900 m quay. Operations at the first phase are set for Q2 2013.

The environmentally friendly nature of the Kalmar RTG\’s was an important incentive for the decision by ITC, where energy consumption is reduced by more than 30%, creating a competitive advantage for the port by ensuring lower operational costs.
