Severe floods in Argentina affect terminals in San Lorenzo
Terminals disrupted include Vincentin, Nidera, Toepfer and LD-Timbues-Noble.
Latest information advises:
• Vicentin terminal: requests no trucks with commodities due to flooding emergency
• Toepfer: suspended trucks to be received on October 25 due to the flooding
• Nidera: suspended truck activities until further notice due to the flooding
• LDC-Timbues-Noble: suspended truck activities until further notice due to blocked
roads
Gabriel Curtarelli, operations manager, ISS Argentina says: “The San Lorenzo area is particularly badly affected with trees down, damage to property and slow restoration of services, including fresh water and telephone lines. We anticipate further disruption over the next five to seven days before all services are restored.”
