Foam fenders can offer potential cost savings, lower maintenance requirements and be easier and quicker to install when compared to rubber systems. However, the company has found that decision makers will often specify rubber fenders out of habit, rather than investigating alternative solutions.
“Our background is very much polymer based and of course, we’re committed to our business in that area. However, we place a lot of importance on ensuring bespoke systems are supplied to specifiers, which offer the best value and most effective solution to the specific challenges of their environment,” said, TMS managing director, Richard Hepworth, who added that sometimes rubber fenders are not the right answer.

The \’Mini Guide\’ and ‘Fender Selector’ tool are intended to help decision makers select the right solution for their project.
