The new equipment is scheduled for delivery in July 2013 and will join existing Kalmar equipment in the operator’s fleet; this includes six DRF450-65 reachstackers and five Ottawa C50 terminal tractors.
The eight-wheel E-One2 RTGs consume up to 60% less fuel compared to conventional diesel-hydraulic RTGs, minimising their environmental impact. The machines will be powered by a Cummins QSX15-600 engine and feature Kalmar\’s Variable Speed Generator (VSG) hybrid package and Smartrail – Cargotec\’s automated electronic driver assistance system.
