ICTSI acquires control of Hijo International Port Services

HIPS owns the Hijo International Port, a private commercial port in Barangay Madaum, Tagum, in the Gulf of Davao, Philippines. The existing port is located on reclaimed land of about 10.3 hectares. It comprises two berths 127 m and 150 m long respectively, two cargo sheds in the wharf area and various terminal support facilities. Hijo currently handles approximately 300,000 tonnes annually, mainly of Cavendish banana exports to Japan

Under the management of ICTSI, HIPS, will now develop and upgrade the facilities and capacity of the port to handle containerised cargo, especially bananas in reefers.
