The all-electric, 16-wheel 50-tonne lifting capacity RTGs can stack 1-over-5 containers high and seven plus truck lane wide. The machines were ordered at the end of last year and were delivered to the company\’s terminal in Tin Can Island Port.
They are equipped with the new Konecranes cabin offering improved ergonomics and visibility. In addition, they feature the latest DGPS-assisted technology for container yards, including Autosteering, which keeps the machines on a pre-programmed, straight driving path without driver intervention, improving safety and increasing productivity.
Also fitted is a container positioning system that is connected to the port\’s terminal operating system (TOS) ensuring correct, real-time container positioning and an accurate inventory.
