BREAKING NEWS – LA strike enters second week

The strike that has brought much of the Los Angeles-Long Beach port complex to a standstill has entered its second week, prompting LA’s Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa to call on strikers and management to talk “around-the-clock” to settle the issue. Samskip has been closely involved in the development of the new DSM HighQ™ container, which aims to be 20% lighter than its steel counterparts through the use of composite panels that replace the commonly used corrugated steel.
