With strong supply chain links to the production of copper and its derivatives, along with other ores, the service currently calls at ports in Ecuador, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador and Peru.
The location of the Porto Itapoá, situated between the main importers of copper in the region, will facilitate the logistics chain for the major consumers in the south and south east region of Brazil, where copper and its derivatives are used extensively in the of metal-mechanic, electrical and technological manufacturing fields.
The first vessel call of the new service at Porto Itapoá will be the ‘Cap Palmas’ on 28 March on the new rotation of: Guayaquil – Antofagasta – San Antonio – San Vicente – Bahia Blanca (fortnightly) – Puerto Madryn (fortnightly) – Imbituba – Itapoá – S. F. do Sul – Sepetiba(Itaguaí) – Santos – Rio Grande – San Antonio – Callao – Guayaquil.
