West Port Said terminal receives deep draught ship
The 306 m long vessel was in port for less than 20 hours and discharged 1,556 containers at a handling rate of 28 box/hour.
Checking the draught to avoid grounding, the Captain of the ‘Mayssan’ reported that the echo sounder showed a safety margin of 2.2 m depth under the vessel.
