The offer to build the facility, which is to be capable of handling 18,000 teu vessels, is on a 30-year build, operate and transfer (BOT) concession basis. The project will be developed as a public private partnership (PPP), with bidders required to prepare a feasibility study report along with a statement of total investment required and expected revenue generation.
The successful bidder will be announced by the end of financial year 2013-14.
