Liebherr launches maritime crane simulators

The LiSIM® (Liebherr Simulations) system provides an environment in which trainees can significantly improve their skills in a realistic but virtual maritime environment.   The training unit uses the crane manufacturer’s original drive systems, software and hardware to reproduce all crane movements exactly both in space and in real-time.

Based on the ergonomically designed driver’s cabin and control panel, a motion platform mimics precisely the response and feel of a crane mounted driver’s cabin and seat.  Full high definition flat screen monitors and surround sound speakers reproduce the views and sound typically experienced in the cabin.

The simulators are available in three configurations – the classroom cabin, the space-saving cabin and the easy-to-transport containerised solution, the latter being housed in a 40ft container equipped with training room, utility room and cabin simulator.  Each model is equipped with a multi-functional instructor station.
