Latest updates to Hampton Roads’ Chassis Pool

HRCP II and Virginia Intermodal Management are wholly owned subsidiaries of Virginia International Terminals (VIT), which in turn is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Virginia Port Authority.

The technology used by HRCP has undergone an update that adds new features, simplified processes and new ocean carrier functionality. Additionally, new ocean carrier partners, with exception-based billing rules, have joined the carriers already using the service.

Updates to the programme are focused on responding to motor carriers’ requests regarding the invoicing data and process. The changes include extending the time period between invoices, introducing new data elements to the chassis trip view screen, and adding payment and adjustment validations. Moreover, the product release allows ocean carriers to log-in and review trips related to their containers.
