London Gateway will be home to the largest logistics park in Europe, providing some 9.25m sq. ft. of accommodation, primarily for the distribution sector.
The majority of buildings at the park will be pre-let, designed to suit specific requirements, but a common-user and smaller units will be developed to ensure that a range companies can operate, even if their operation does not warrant a larger stand-alone facility.
The port-centric concept refers to the practice of putting the port at the heart of the supply chain, incorporating distribution centres thus eliminating the need for haulage elsewhere.
