The order also includes an option for a further 32 cranes, all of which are to be manufactured at TPS’ facility in Xiamen, China.
They will be used on the two berth container terminal extension, currently under construction at the Port of Tanjung Pelepas, and are scheduled to be operational by May 2014.
Powered directly from the harbour mains along busbar systems, the low noise level RTGs will not generate exhaust emissions; an auxiliary diesel generator will be fitted to allow the cranes to travel independently away from the stack.
