In a statement, the two companies said that the newly established company will now have the distinction of being the world’s leading provider of port automation solutions, providing the most comprehensive offering to the market, extending beyond automation and including security, IT and terminal process design.
Both companies have partnered for over five years to provide many of the world’s busiest ports with comprehensive automation solutions; HTS deployed the first-ever commercial gate OCR, crane OCR and rail OCR systems over a decade ago.
Jointly they have installed over 750 systems in over 50 terminals in 25 countries. This has included deploying three full-port technology systems, including yard and quay automation – an integrated solution unique to the market and industry.
